Leach Mounce Architects provided the needs assessment and concept design studies for the new City of Woodland, CA Police Station, which covered a 20 year span of future needs. The new police station includes 52,000 sf of floor space on two floors and a two story public lobby and interior atrium highlight the design. The building reflects the charm of old town Woodland along with the modern hardening that is necessary in a new police facility. A shooting range is included on the site beneath the vehicle maintenance area located in the parking lot adjacent to the main building. A large Community/EOC room is located just off the public lobby. The facility won a LEED “Silver” certification.
