This 54,000 s.f. facility contains an emergency operating center and communications center totaling 6,000 s.f.; a short-term holding facility, helistop, vehicle maintenance and covered parking for 100 official vehicles. The watch commander is located at the center of the plan which wraps around a secure south facing outdoor terrace to be used for social and ceremonial events, conferences, training sessions and meetings in good weather. The dispatch center contains five ergonomically advanced workstations, fully adjustable in all directions to stand up position and equipped with individual HVAC controls. The project was completed on schedule and within the budget.
