This Project consists of a 78,000 square foot Public Safety Building containing police, fire administration and detention; a 15,000 square foot City Courts Building with Prosecutor’s office; a 400 car parking structure and related site work. The Public Safety Building has a complete communications center and an emergency operations center. The complex is located in the downtown redevelopment area. A goal was for the facility to set an area design standard and encourage further development of the area. This goal has been met as other buildings have grown up around this site since its completion. The project went through a special public review process. Three architectural character studies were displayed in public before the final character as shown in the completed project was selected.
