The Pasadena Public Safety Training Facility is situated on a fourteen (14) acre site and is comprised of three major components - the Training Center, Fire Arms Center and Equipment Center. The needs assessment presents a medium density land use solution. Much of the site is developed as open space training functions. The Building Area need is 89,150 square feet of enclosed and covered space. The buildings represent approximately two (2) acres on the site. The site’s hillside topography and arroyo are both assets and controlling factors in the placement of the various functions on the site.

Major features of this facility includes:

  • Multiple Scenario Burn Building with four stories including a basement and variable maze
  • Fire Training Tower also used for emergency rescue repelling training
  • Helicopter Landing Pad & parking for training and emergency operations staging
  • Firing Range with F. A. T. S., a Hogan’s Alley, live fire house and rifle range
  • Subterranean Collapsed Structure with variable maze, vehicle extraction
  • Multi-Environment Training Structures using a variety of construction and use types including street, alley & backyard scenes.
