Leach Mounce Architects provided site planning, programming, building design and engineering,
construction administration and interior design for the Point Arguello Oil and Gas Plant.

The project design is sensitive to its prominent coastal location and function as headquarters for the onshore processing plant serving Santa Barbara’s offshore oil developments. As such, the building has been designed with special attention to its historic and immediate context. Conservation of energy was incorporated into the building’s design, utilizing daylighting concepts integrated with cogeneration of electrical power and fuel gas as a by-product of the oil and gas refining process.
