A program of 24,000 sq. ft. on a 48,400 sq. ft. site (including extensive fire truck circulation, parking, screen walls and landscaping) required an innovative site plan. Fire Station #22 occupies the front corner of the site with 4 truck bays, storage, offices, training, exercise, dorms and other living facilities. In the center of the site is the maintenance bay for 6 vehicles with various maintenance storage and work rooms attached. At the back of the site is a 2,000 sq. ft. city storage facility.
