County Sheriff’s 911 Call Operations Relocation Feasibility Study
Sacramento, CA
In this two part study Leach Mounce Architects conducted at Risk Assessment in conjunction with a building survey conducted by Executive Architect Nacht & Lewis and their Engineering team. Once the suitability of the use of the existing sheriff’s facility at Elk Grove was established a second needs assessment study was conducted by Leach Mounce Architects to determine the new facility space needs for both the Communications Department and the South Division Patrol Staff.
Conceptual planning showed that with some modifications the existing facility could accommodate the twenty year needs of the department’s 911 call operations.
This facility will have nine radio positions, three service desk positions, nine 911 call takers and fourteen seven digit positions as well as four Sergeant/Supervisor positions. There will be in addition to this an Administrative Unit, EOC, Community/Training Room, and Support Locker Equipment & Break Room Facilities.
Major Electrical & HVAC Infrastructure improvements must be made to service it’s new function.
