This center, which has been constructed within the Oxnard Police/Fire Facility, consists of: a Communications Room with six dispatch workstations and a supervisor’s work station; a dispatch manager’s office; E.O.C.; Break Room; and Restrooms. Acoustical treatment, indirect lighting, new computer floor, redundant air conditioning, and seismic bracing of wall, floor, ceiling and HVAC equipment were included in this work. The Emergency Operations Center functions as a training room when not in use for emergencies. It is equipped with data, phone, power, and radio connections at perimeter walls and in the floor. The room is prepared to receive RACES radio equipment and has a ceiling mounted video projector, projection screens, and movable white boards.
