Leach Mounce developed the deficiency analysis, needs assessment, space program and budget, for this 34,000 sf facility and then provided specialized design working with Nacht & Lewis of Sacramento. Professional services included a threat assessment with recommended mitigations. The construction, furniture and equipment cost was $22,000,000. The facility includes a dispatch floor with 35 communications workstations, training classrooms for 101 students including specialized radio and CAD/Telephone classrooms, a Police Department Operating Center with 76 stations and the City’s back up I.T. equipment. The facility has advanced electronic and imaging systems and optimum ergonomics. The site and building are planned for future expansion and the addition of a 24/7 child care facility and a canine training facility. Construction was completed significantly under the budget on January 2006. Equipment and training were completed September 2006.
